Meet ‘2bechosen’ on Her Story!

Meet the brutally honest blogger ‘2bechosen’.

About Me: I am 2bechosen, a confident, strong, 28 years old, single lady with a lot of persistence.I want to be a teacher in economics. I haven’t reached my goal yet. I will soon get there. I have Ghanaian roots and was born and raised in the Netherlands.

Being a woman: For me, the most important thing of being a woman is the gift I possess to care and nurture others. In the end, I want to be remembered for my love, care and help. Not the clothes I wore, not the nice make up I had on, not the fancy job I had, not the money that I would have left behind. I want to be remembered for the good things I did. At least, that is what I want.

Managing work and home: Me-time! I make sure that I have enough me-time. I am a single lady with no children. So you might think: what is there to manage? Well, I have a very needy family. I combine my free time with getting my house in order, visiting friends/family and having me-time. I get a lot of energy from me-time. This what I insist myself to do:
– relax
– take a long bath
– have a high-tea
– paint my nails
– put an facial mask on
– watch a movie/tv-show
– go for a walk
– go the gym
– read a book/magazine
– count my blessings

Coping with stress: When I am in stress, I normally hide in my house, which, I know is not a good strategy. I hide because I don’t want people to see me weak or in need. The best thing that I can do is: trust people around me to help get through this. Make an plan of attack and move forward. That is the best approach for me. I also tell myself that: this stressful/hard time is not going to last forever. There will come a time that all things will be peaceful again.

Mantra for Happiness: Everyone can create their happiness. For me happiness is a mindset. Trust me, I have been in a very dark place, I have had my share of low phases. One day I said: enough is enough: I am worthy of being happy, I am worthy of being a positive minded person. The next question to myself was: How can I be this person. How can I feel the opposite of what I am feeling right now? Guess what? I just needed to change my way of thinking. Which resulted to a positive way of behaving. A good way of looking, dressing, interacting with others. Everything will change if you change your mindset. Think positive and positive things will come to you. Its a process. Do not think things will change overnight. You have to be patient. It works!!

A tip that you would like to share: Women are unique and blessed. God gives the hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. I believe we are the strongest. We are built to carry a baby for 9 months. We are built to nurture our kids. They all say, there is no harder job than being a mother. Its a 24/7, 365 days a year job. If He has given us such important responsibilities, then there is nothing that we can’t achieve. We have to keep in mind when you face obstacles on the road. Keep in mind when you need to climb a wall you never climbed before.
Whatever you need to do, you CAN do!

Meet Chelsea on Her Story!

Profile Picture Blog

Meet the pretty blogger of Inspiration Indulgence whose mission is to inspire and motivate YOU to be the best version of yourself and to create a positive and fulfilling life. On her blog, you will find a variety of different posts dedicated to self-improvement in many different areas. Read more to find about this lovely lady!

About Me: My name is Chelsea and I am from Green Bay, Wisconsin in the United States. I just graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and am currently a nanny until I start grad school for my Masters program in School Counseling this summer. I love traveling, nutrition, fitness, being around children, my family, and being with my boyfriend. I am a lover of fashion, friendship, beaches, and genuine people. I live with my boyfriend of two years in a really small town, and love my little life. I blog to inspire others and to help others find self-love.

Being a woman: My role as a woman is a lover, a sister, a daughter, and a friend.

Managing work and home: Right now I am sort of struggling managing work and home. I work 10-11 hour days (about 50 hours a week) and then blog when I come home. Even though I am not currently making any income, my blog has become a second full-time job to me. I don’t know how people who work this many hours can handle having children! I am looking forward to my future career where I work 8-9 hour days and have my summers off 🙂

Coping with stress: I have never been an expert at coping with stress; it is something I have been working very hard on the last couple of years. I feel that sometimes I get anxiety about silly things. College was especially a rough time with me; I felt like there simply were just NOT enough hours in the day!! When I am really stressed, I usually just shut everything out and do something that makes me happy. This usually entails either watching a movie with my man, working out, or writing.

Mantra for happiness: My mantra for happiness is that you CREATE your own happiness. You have to love yourself before you can ever truly be happy. 🙂 Happiness is a CHOICE. 🙂

A tip that you would like to share: Do what you love, and love what you do. Do not judge others; you have never walked in their shoes! Be happy and worry about yourself more instead of worrying about others.

Being a woman: The best thing about being a woman is to have the privilege of living a holistic life, whether it is to give birth to a new life which is a miracle in itself or to use her logic, determination and strength to move mountains and at the same time being intuitive and touching many lives with her warmth and femininity. I would like to share one of my poems depicting the substance of womanhood.

She is a woman of substance
Out of her shell, with pride she swells
Do not judge her ever by her spell
Feminine she is a delight to be with
She smiles and laughs, makes the hearts sing
Calm and composed, a mystery to be resolved
With her opinions, she also influences the core
She moves like waves pulsating on the sea shore
A mother at home, if needed she roars, the bravest soul
She creates and destroys when she stands tall and strong
So fragile, dainty, exquisite, goes beyond imaginations
She is the essence of life, roses, orchids and carnations
She carries in her heart a potpourri of emotions
Vivacious and sensuous with boundless energy
She can move mountains brimming with synergy
Nothing can describe her as apt as these words
She is a woman of substance and not a woman of this world

Managing work and home: Managing work and home requires women to multitask and researchers have shown that women have superior social cognitive skills making them more equipped for multitasking and the ability to manage work and home fronts efficiently. Each one of us here has our own true calling and if we are able to discover our passion and inclination, then we can contribute significantly to the society at large by keeping our own identity intact.

Coping with stress: In the present scenario, women have many roles to play where she needs to think logically as a professional, feel emotionally on the personal front, and act efficiently to balance both which certainly causes stressful conditions. According to researches, women seem to have the edge in dealing with stressful conditions and are more resilient to chronic stress. All we need to do is to believe in ourselves and acknowledge our inherent ability to multitask.

Mantra for happiness: I truly believe that happiness comes from within and increases manifold by sharing with others. We don’t need to work for happiness, instead enjoy the process by working happily to bring out the best out of us. To do that, we all need to introspect and understand the world within which will automatically be reflected on the world without. The ancient yoga & meditation exercises can transform each woman into a wonder woman. Ask yourself the following questions to check how happy you are:

1. Do you love what you do and do what you love?
2. Are you aware of your inborn strengths and is your career based on your passion?
3. Do you have a goal and a purpose in life and are you working towards it?
4. Are you associated with any organization which is working towards making a significant
difference to the society?
5. Are you able to keep your calm when encountered with stressful situation?
6. Do you love spending time with your children, family or friends?
7. Are you satisfied with your financial position?
8. Do you spend some time during the week doing yoga/meditation or any physical activity?
9. Do you get good night sleep most of the time?
10. Do you follow any healthy diet regime to keep fit?

If most of your answers say ‘No’ to the above questions, you need to work towards your happiness quotient through mind power techniques.

A tip that you would like to share: I personally feel that as a woman, we need to be mentally strong, emotionally stable and view ourselves as empowered individuals and reach out to the world in order to empower humanity. We create; we build as we are the architects serving humanity!
